Mindset and Your Body

As this year is coming to an end, I am inviting you to ponder on your belief systems with respect to health and aging, because they have the power to either sustain your physical health or impede it.

These deeply embedded beliefs affect your general state of well-being, the way you feel day after day and the health of your body.

Do you believe that as you age your spine or hips deterioration is imminent?

Even though it is true that the force of gravity starts to affect your spine from the moment you stopped crawling and commenced biped walking, it is not true that you must end up with a hip replacement, knee replacement or a painful spinal condition such as degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, bulging discs or painful pressure on the nerves.

I believe that about 90% of the painful and limiting conditions that affect so many people are preventable with the use of intelligent forms of exercise and treatment that respect the laws of the body.

But there is one more ingredient to one’s general health and well-being.

There are people who move with ease and age with grace and who live their lives fully and vibrantly, without experiencing the effects of an aging spine.

What makes that possible?

Is it merely a lifetime of good eating habits, exercise and good genes?

Or is it what their beliefs have been and are about their health and aging process?

Some food for thought, don’t you think?

My 25 years of helping people move better and feel better have brought me to the conclusion that without the right mindset, the progress is slow or non-existent.

With the right mindset, the body can heal.
